Peace Activist's Life Portrayed
My Name Is Rachel Corrie, a play depicting the life and work of the 23-year-old American peace activist, will be presented by Denver's Countdown To Zero Theater Company at Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave., at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.
The play features Denver actress Julie Rada portraying Corrie, who was crushed to death by an Israeli military bulldozer on March 16, 2003, while protecting the home of a Palestinian family from demolition. The script was taken from the writings of Rachel Corrie, edited by Alan Rickman and Katharine Viner. Tour Coordinator, Eric Meyer, is available for media interviews at (574) 975-3620.
The performance is sponsored by the Columbus Mennonite Church. Admission is free. Donations accepted.
