Low Income Americans Offered Free Healthcare and Discounted Heating Oil by Venezuelan Government
The government of Venezuela is offering free eye surgery for economically disadvantaged Milwaukeans. Under the program, individuals who have been diagnosed with cataracts or pterigium, and cannot afford surgery, would be flown to Venezuela free of charge to undergo surgery at specialized medical centers located in the capital of the state of Lara, where Carora is located.
Venezuela, through CITGO Petroleum, is also offering discounted heating oil for low income Milwaukeans facing skyrocketing heating prices. CITGO is a subsidiary of Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA, the third most important energy corporation in the world.
