Scenes from counterdemonstration against Nazis at the Midtown YWCA

Hundreds gathered on a cool, drizzly Saturday on Lake Street to stand against a planned Nazi protest of an anti-racism workshop conducted at the Midtown YWCA. The counter-demonstrators counted the event a victory celebration when less than a half dozen neo-fascists showed up and quickly whisked themselves off the site as anti-racist protestors shouted and threw tomatoes, according to one participant.
