She said one of the things ordinary folk in the US can do about this is build solidarity with the common folk in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other countries that are, according to activists, on the receiving end of US militarism.

Some of us in the US may doubt our ability to question our government regarding foreign policy, because we don't have access to the information  that the president and some members of Congress have.  But finding such solidarity seems a good idea, regardless of that.
