Forest Ethics Summit

Description:

ForestEthics Summit

With the victory from the Victoria’s Dirty Secret Campaign fresh in everyone’s mind, Forest Ethics announces its new target for the paper campaign: Sears Holding Co.

Best known for being the original catalog producer, Sears sends out over 400 million catalogs a year, containing very little if any recycled content. It’s time to tell this dinosaur of destruction to stay out of our endangered and old growth forests, to stop human rights violations from unethical logging in indigenous lands, and to become a leader in the fight against harmful practices that contribute to global warming!

Come to find out how you can help in this campaign, while gaining useful skills through several workshops, including a briefing on endangered forests and the paper campaign, coalition building, and direct action training.

Registration is free, and housing accommodations and food will be provided by OSU Free The Planet!, Food not Bombs, and Jobs for Justice.

Space is limited, so register now by sending an e-mail to Linda@forestethics.org. See you in November!
